Commission seeks experts for RAISE High-Level Academic Advisory Board

The European Commission has launched a call for applications, inviting top scientists researching AI or using AI in their research to join the newly formed RAISE High-Level Academic Advisory Board. The board will play a key role in steering the future of AI-powered science and fundamental AI research across Europe.

RAISE - the Resource for AI Science in Europe - is a virtual institute pooling top talent and resources to drive excellence in AI science, spanning both AI in science and the science of AI. It was launched in November 2025 and it is currently in its pilot phase. Funding comes from Horizon Europe and Digital Europe programmes.

The call is open until 4 September 2026.
