Four new members join Mario Draghi's Rhine Group
The new think tank 'Rhine Group' has been joined by four new members. The think tank had been set up recently by Mario Draghi and Patrick Collison (co-founder and CEO of payments technology company Stripe), following up on Mr. Draghi's report on 'The Future of European Competitiveness', and aiming to accelerate the implementation of the recommendations included in the report.
Following criticism that the group members did not sufficiently represent central and eastern Europe, four new members have been invited to join the group. The new members are Roumanian tech-entrepreneur Luciana Lixandru, Iryna Terekh, the Ukrainian manager of defence start-up Fire Point, French-Bulgarian Stefanie Stantcheva, who is Nathaniel Ropes Professor of Political Economy at Harvard University, and software developer Piotr Dabkowski, co-founder of Eleven Labs, from Poland. This raises the group's membership to 58 CEOs, economists, scientists and leaders of large technology companies.
