Security practitioners invited to join Horizon Europe evaluator pool
The European Commission is calling on security practitioners with operational experience to become independent expert evaluators for Horizon Europe Cluster 3 projects. The initiative aims to ensure that EU-funded research in civil security responds to real operational needs. Experts are being sought in areas such as organised crime, critical infrastructure protection, civil protection, emergency response, public administration, border security and cybersecurity.
As evaluators, selected experts will assess project proposals submitted under Horizon Europe Cluster 3 and contribute practical knowledge to the evaluation process. Their role will be to help identify projects that can deliver relevant and effective solutions to Europe’s evolving security challenges.
Interested experts can register through the Expert Database on the EU Funding & Tenders Portal. Once registered, their profiles become visible to the European Commission and executive agencies seeking experts to evaluate proposals, monitor projects or provide specialised advice.
