INSPIRING ERA presents fact sheet on Open Access
INSPIRING ERA, a Horizon Europe project that supports researchers, research and higher education institutions, and innovation actors in understanding and applying the outcomes of the European Research Area (ERA), has released a factsheet on “Open Access in the European Research Area.” It explores key barriers to making research openly accessible and provides practical solutions for more inclusive and sustainable Open Access. It highlights how coherent policies, sustainable funding and strong infrastructures can help turn Open Access ambitions into practice.
The factsheet provides recommendations for policymakers, funders and research organisations on capacity building, research assessment and emerging AI-related risks. It also highlights tools and initiatives supporting Open Access across Europe. These practical approaches can strengthen the circulation and reuse of knowledge across the European Research Area.
